OVERVIEW

  • The Bolin EG40DH is a professional Dante AV-H IP decoder with built-in scaler designed to easily convert high-quality IP video streams into baseband video outputs for broadcast, live production, and Pro AV applications. Supporting up to 4K60 resolution, it ensures smooth, low-latency playback with simultaneous and independent HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI outputs, facilitating flexible integration into existing workflows.

    Fully compatible with the Dante ecosystem, the EG40DH allows for effortless discovery and management of Dante-enabled devices via Dante Controller software. This integration enables synchronized audio and video routing over standard 1Gbps networks, making it an ideal solution for live events, conference rooms, houses of worship, and educational settings. The decoder's FPGA-based hardware ensures reliable performance, while its compact design offers versatile mounting options, including rack, wall, and desktop installations.

    In addition to Dante AV-H, the EG40DH supports various IP streaming protocols such as RTSP, RTMP, SRT, and MPEG-TS, providing flexibility in receiving live feeds from multiple IP video sources. Its Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) capability simplifies installation by reducing the need for additional power supplies. Compact yet powerful, it offers seamless source switching, embedded audio support, and IR control passthrough, making it a reliable choice for classrooms, corporate campuses, and professional AV installations.

IP STREAMING - CODEC

  • EG40DH decoder is compatible with:
          • Dante AV-H - when used within Dante AV-H environment
          • HEVC - when used with any SoC HEVC IP cameras
          • FAST HEVC - when used with Bolin FAST HEVC cameras to gain ultra low latency performance
    Dante AV-H or FAST HEVC or HEVC-1200

    Instead of an SoC,  the EG40DH utilizes Bolin's FPGA-based FAST HEVC platform to provide a higher level of performance:
          • Dual output 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 video with independent resolution setup
          • Upscaling from lower resolution up to UHD (4K60) video output, in addition to decoding 4K60 IP streaming
          • Ultra Low latency when used with Bolin's FAST HEVC camera
