D20 Series is a single channel networked AV over IP transceiver that is fully compatible with Dante audio devices within a Dante ecosystem for HDMI sources up to 4K60Hz 4096 x 2160, with embedded audio and PTZ camera movement control via IP or IR pass-through. It provides audio and video streaming over a standard gigabit network and D20S/D20H models as decoders output baseband video, either HDMI or 12G SDI, to work in professional AV applications.

It features advanced high-quality YUV4:4:4, ProAV optimized JPEG2000 lossless video compression technology and HDCP 2.2 compliant achieves ultra-low latency with 100% audio video synchronization when paired using Dante AV encoder and decoder.

D20 Series Transceivers are encoder/decoder devices configurable via firmware update. It is part of the Bolin DanteAV camera/codec system, it delivers a high-performance virtual video matrix routing solution for presentation of multimedia, and live camera images, Dante 4k video content application such as demanding conference room and classroom applications.

Key Features

  • Powered By DanteAV™ Module

    ■ Bolin D20 Series transceiver, a Dante AV Ultra Encoder/Decoder, is powered by the Dante AV Ultra™ module. It achieves lossless video and extremely low latency IP video streaming with perfect video and audio synchronization.
    ■ Designed to seamlessly integrate into an existing Dante audio ecosystem, the D20 Series transceiver is managed using the Dante Controller Software with flexibility to independently route audio and video with sub-microsecond accuracy to minimize time alignment issues. More information about Dante AV

  • Dante Ecosystem Friendly

    ■ Instant compatibility with over 3000 existing Dante-enabled products.
    ■ Unified control of camera’s video and audio streams using familiar tools - Dante Controller Software.
    ■ No need to replace network infrastructure. Dante AV works with already installed, cost-effective 1Gbps network gear.
    ■ Uses Dante Controller and endpoints so you can easily click to check video and audio control routing.
  • Encoder/Decoder Configurable

    ■ D20 Series, D20H and D20S Dante AV transceiver can be configured as an individual encoder or decoder via a firmware update.
    ■ For a complete encode/decode solution, two separate devices are required,
    ■ Unique firmware to program as an encoder or decoder will be available on www.bolintechnology.com/downloadcenter

  • Lossless image with extremely low codec latency

    ■ Bolin’s D20 Series transceiver streams and transports up to 4K60 4:4:4 video output with ultra-low latency and lossless video quality.
    ■ D20 Series transceiver incorporates an optimized implementation of the popular JPEG2000 codec in FPGA, which delivers visually perfect lossless image at 4K60 with < 10ms codec latency.

  • 100% Synchronized video and audio

D20 Series DanteAV transceiver has integrated Dante’s sub-microsecond synchronization to video and audio. Dante network clock keeps the camera video in sync regardless of the number of endpoints, making lip-sync problems a thing of the past.
  • HDMI output EDID and HDCP content protection supported

    ■ The D20 Series decoder provides decoded images via HDMI 2.0 port, with EDID support. Integrated high-performance scaling engine provides a scalable encoded source for a wide array of UHD and HD resolutions to match the different capabilities and requirements of sources, displays, codecs, and other equipment.
    ■ D20 Series encoder and decoder support HDCP 2.2 (HDCP 2.3 over the network) to provide digital content protection.
  • HDMI and SDI Dual Output

    ■ In addition to HDMI 2.0 video output, D20S carries Bolin's video processor to simultaneously provide up to 12G-SDI output format for broadcast workflow use.
  • Dante Controller and DDM Supported

    ■ Unified control of camera audio and video using familiar tools - Dante Controller and Dante Domain Manager (DDM).
    ■ Uses Dante Controller and (DDM) and endpoints so you can easily click to check video and audio routing.

  • Remote Control & Monitoring

    ■ D20 Series has a built-in serial (RS-422), which enables serial port PTZ camera joystick controller via Dante Serial Over IP control running Visca protocol. D20 Series also supports IR over IP feature to control connected displays, PTZ cameras, and other devices.
    ■ When paired with Bolin DanteAV PTZ camera D412/D220, D20 Series as a decoder supports camera control and configuration using Visca Over IP protocol from the PTZ controller.

Features

  • Unicast and Multicast for Video Display Routing

Paired with Dante AV decoder, it receives the signal from a DanteAV PTZ camera or an encoder and feeds it to a display device via the HDMI and/or 12G-SDI output. Using familiar Dante Controller software, the decoder can quickly and easily switch between multiple DanteAV endpoints including cameras or encoders on the network, with no need for breakouts or matrix switches to unicast or multicast display the video on any number of screens and video router system to use.
  • Implementation of HDCP 2.2 Encryption

Adheres to the latest HDCP 2.2 (HDCP 2.3 for network) specification for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Allows protected content streams to pass between authenticated devices.
  • Dante Controller Supported

Full setup and control and monitoring of the device is enabled through Dante Controller that delivers standard Dante features such as automatic device discovery and system configuration, making network setup a simple plug and play experience.
  • Always Up To Date

Firmware updates, upgrade via Bolin Dante AV software IP interface to keep the decoder features and performance up to date.
  • Audio Formats, Dante Audio over IP

The D20 Series Dante AV Transceiver supports Dante compatible networked audio streams from encoders and audio interfaces. The received Dante audio streaming can be combined with the video and then output via the HDMI output.
  • Two Ethernet Ports and POE

The D20 Series Dante AV Transceiver includes two RJ-45 1000BASE-T ports can be used to transport video over a Gigabit Ethernet network. Ports 1 for Dante network primary connection and Port 2 can be used to daisy-chain other endpoints. Port 1 is also capable of receiving power via POE++.
  • D20 Series Transceiver has two models:

    ■ D20H has HDMI 2.0 output only, which provides decoded image to output via HDMI 2.0. Integrated high-performance scaling engine provides scalable encoded source for a wide array of UHD, HD resolutions to match the different capabilities and requirements of sources, displays, codecs, and other equipment.
    ■ D20S has HDMI 2.0 and 12G-SDI output, which has SDI video processor built-in to provide SDI (Up to 12G-SDI) signal for ProAV and broadcast video work flow applications.
  • USB HID and USB OTG

USB control over IP that can be switched and routed alongside the AV signal or separately via a control system allows you to use a USB mouse and/or keyboard to control a remote computer via the Dante network. USB On The Go (OTG) for keyboard and mouse
