From Bricks to Big Screens: Bolin NDI PTZ Cameras Transform Education and Learning at Legoland Shanghai Theme Park
Shanghai Legoland Resort, the largest Legoland park in the world and the first in China, wanted to ensure every child could fully experience its hands-on creative workshops. The challenge: in a large classroom, small hand movements and facial expressions from instructors are easy to miss. By introducing Bolin’s N2-220X NDI PTZ cameras, the resort brought those critical details to the big screen, turning every seat into the best seat in the house.
A Land Built from 85 Million Bricks
Shanghai Legoland Resort is China’s first and the world’s 11th Legoland park. Spanning 318,000 square meters, it is also the largest Legoland park in the world. The resort was built with over 85 million LEGO bricks and is guided by the philosophy of “China’s First, Global Flagship.”
Inside the park, six creative workshops allow children to participate in hands-on model building activities. Professional LEGO instructors guide participants through construction techniques, encourage creativity, and teach problem-solving through play. Each workshop is designed to be both educational and immersive, with multiple learning zones and group tables arranged throughout the space.
The Challenge
While the workshops were designed to inspire creativity, their size and seating layout presented visibility challenges. Children seated at the back or on the sides often struggled to see the instructor’s hand movements or facial expressions during live demonstrations. Because LEGO building requires precise visual cues and step-by-step guidance, this lack of visibility could hinder learning outcomes.
The resort needed a way to provide every child with a clear view of the instructor’s demonstrations, no matter where they were seated. The goal was to improve clarity, engagement, and accessibility throughout the entire learning environment.
Delivering the Solution
To solve the visibility challenge, the resort installed N2-220X NDI PTZ cameras each of the six creative workshops. The cameras were positioned to capture detailed views of the instructors and transmit them to large displays around the room.

- Synchronized video: NDI transmission ensures low-latency video output, so children see every movement on screen at the same time it is happening in front of them.
This solution allowed the resort to bring every critical visual element to the forefront, ensuring that all children, regardless of where they sat, could follow along with the lesson.

The integration of N2-220X cameras has transformed the creative workshops into a more engaging and inclusive learning environment. Every child in the room, regardless of where they sit, now has a clear view of the instructors’ demonstrations.
